Under the constant supervision of two chefs and the coordinator, work activities are offered. Tasks relate to kitchen work and more with the goal of developing skills and autonomy. Participants gain the tools needed to work in teams.
In the Kitchen
In the kitchen: preparing raw food, carrying out basic preparations for dishes, carrying out basic preparations for desserts, wrapping and labeling food products.
Participant can also help with house cleaning in the work space; sweeping or mopping floors; wiping surfaces; doing the dishes.
Under the coordinator’s constant supervision, the participant learns certain tasks related to customer service such as answering the phone and transmitting messages. These tasks help improve the participant’s abilities, attitude and behaviour, as well as increase his/her self confidence and autonomy. It also provides the confidence to interact with numerous people in different situations.
